Vivian Robertstad Knudsen

Knudsen, Vivian Robertstad CHESAPEAKE, VA./ MADISON Vivian Robertstad Knudsen, on Friday, April 25, 2008, moved from Chesapeake, Va., to heaven. Vivian was born on Aug. 11, 1926, to her parents John and Ingeborg Robertstad, and was raised in Madison. She attended Emerson School and graduated from Madison East High School. Vivian was married on Sept. 14, 1946, to the love of her life, Arthur Knudsen, a marriage which lasted 44 happy years. She is survived by her wonderful daughters and families: Ingrid (Steve) Smith of Hobe Sound Fla., and her children, Soren (Melinda) Smith (and his children Ella, Audrey, and Charlotte) and Kari Smith; Kristine (Dennis) Reidenbach of Glenside, Pa., and her children Erik and Matthew (Rachel) Reidenbach; and Karn (John) Glaze of Chesapeake, Va., and her children Jeremy, Jennifer, and Amanda Glaze. She is also survived by her sister, Harriet Long of Norman, Okla.; her brother, Dr. and Mrs. Gordon (Janice) Robertstad of El Paso, Texas; her brother, Glenn (Beverly) Robertstad of Madison; her sister-in-law, Helen Robertstad of Madison; her brother-in-law, Howard Knudsen of Staten Island, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews that she loves dearly. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur; her sister, Ruth Refvik; her brother-in-law, Ben Refvik; her two sisters-in-law, Hildegard Robertstad and Evelyn Knudsen; and her in-laws, Dennis and Marion Knudsen. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at noon, on Saturday, May 3, 2008. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the church that Vivian grew up in, Bethany Evangelical Free Church, 301 Riverside Drive, Madison WI, 53704.
