Diane Janowski

Jankowski, Diane F. MCFARLAND Diane F. Jankowski, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on Nov. 26, 1948, the daughter of Fidelis and Maureta (Wanless) Jansen. Diane graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1967. She was a top-notch realtor with Century 21 Affiliated in Madison. Prior to that, Diane was a mall manager in Richmond, Va., and various locations in Wisconsin, including Madison, Cedarburg, and Kenosha. She loved music and was a tuba major at UW-Madison, and played in several musical groups. Diane loved cocker spaniels, including her little dog, Cosmo. Diane is survived by her husband, John Jankowski of Norwalk, Conn.; brothers, Deane (Dorothy) Jansen of Kenosha and David (Henrietta) Jansen of Galena, Ill.; sisters, Delores Wanek of San Antonio, Texas, Donna Kraft of McFarland, and Dawn (Tom) Block of Madison; 11 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008, with Father Doug Dushack presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society. A special thank you to the doctors and medical staff that cared for Diane during her battle with cancer and her stroke, as well as the staff at HospiceCare in Fitchburg, Community Living Alliance in Madison, Nutrition Center in McFarland, Meals on Wheels, Homestead Apartments in McFarland, and her many friends, who worked to make sure her last days were her best.
