Obituary

Bouzek, Jeffrey LA PORTE CITY, IOWA/STOUGHTON Jeff Bouzek passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2008. He was born on August 29, 1966. Jeff will always be remembered for his passion of everything living, from his garden, his pets, to everyone that loved him. Jeff graduated from Stoughton High School in 1984, where he was an avid musician and accomplished swimmer. After graduation, Jeff served in The United States Army. In the last 20 years, Jeff fueled his love for cooking, as a chef for a number of restaurants. Jeff, you loved Nature, and now you are with nature. We hope that you are at peace. You will forever be remembered and loved by your parents, Karen and Jerry Bouzek; your sister, Dee Dee Bouzek; your broth er, David (Barbie) Bouzek; your niece and nephew, Sophie and Silas; your many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and especially your soul mate, Lucinda Leppla. To Jeff, You rose from the earth an eager seedling, Born of innocence, And opened your arms to the sun. We remember your eyes, Lit like gentle flames, And fixed upon your hopes. We nurtured your dreams and tended your youthful needs, Until one day we offered you to the wind. We listen to the wind on sleepless nights, And wonder if they carry your hopes. We wait. Then one day the wind blows from the east and returns you to the earth. You have come home, Jeff. You are home. Uncle Eric Frydenlund, April 2008.

I was saddened to hear of Jeff's passing. He was a great friend, and though we have not been in touch since high school, I have fond memories of him. We spent many great hours together in play practice, band and choir. My condolences to his family and friends for their loss!

I was so sorry to receive the news of Jeff's passing. We became friends in junior high and then through high school and unfortunately life took its turns and we never had the opportunity to see each other after graduation. My fond memories of Jeff include his kind words and funny antics of junior high. Spending time at his parents' home on the lake with a boat he was determined to make work. (I don't recall it ever moving but fun was had by all.) My memories of Jeff that I will keep with me are his kind voice, his laughter and a shared youth. I feel honored to have spent those growing years with him and pray he has found a peace that perhaps he hadn't found. To his mother, father and sister, my heartfelt condolences to each of you. May you also find comfort during this difficult time. Jeff will be missed.
