James B. Holeman

Holmen, James B. "Jim" MIDDLETON James B. "Jim" Holmen, died on Saturday, May 24, 2008, as a result of a motorcycle accident, doing what he loved best. He was born in Long Beach, Calif., on Dec. 21, 1961, the son of Dr. Gerald Holmen and late Norma (Callaway) Dutch. He graduated from Baraboo High School in 1980 and attended UW-Platteville and Madison Area Technical College. Jim was self-employed as an established "tile guy." He was an avid motorsports enthusiast, enjoying motorcycling, autocross, 4-wheeling, 16-foot Hobie Cat racing, and other outdoor pursuits. He is survived by his best friend, Beth Piper; father, Dr. Gerald Holmen of Baraboo; sister, Susan Holmen of Milwaukee; brother, David Holmen; sister, Christine Quandt; brother, Matthew Holmen; niece, McKenna Quandt, all of Baraboo; feline companions, Hobie and Harry; and many other family and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Norma. Visitation will be on Friday, May 30, 2008, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, WI 53716. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. on Friday at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME.
