Morgan, M.B. "Bud" MADISON/ MIDDLETON M.B. "Bud" Morgan, age 97, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2008. He was born on March 14, 1911, in Clyman, the son of Harry L. and Myrtle J. (Bunnell) Morgan. Bud was a Metropolitan Life Insurance Company representative for 30 years, retiring in 1972. In 1974, Bud and Ruth along with their son, Bob and daughter-in-law, Pat purchased the Farm Kitchen in Baraboo, which they operated for several years. He moved back to Middleton in 1980 and to Madison in 1997. Bud was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Middleton, Middleton Masonic Lodge, and Eastern Star where he was recently honored for his 60 year membership as a Mason. Bud enjoyed boating, fishing, vacations up North, and just sitting on the beach with his family. He was a devoted family man and is survived by his loving wife of 78 years, Ruth; two daughters, Lois Potter of Janesville and Judy Morgan of Middleton; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Morgan; daughter-in-law, Pat Morgan; and a son-in-law, Jim Potter. A Celebration of Buds life, including Masonic services will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 4 p.m., on Saturday, July 19, 2008, with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Buds family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at HospiceCare and Middleton Village for the loving care they gave Bud. He will be missed, but he will never be forgotten; he has left us with the memory of a life that gave to all of us so much humor, wisdom and joy.
