Obituary

Acker, Kristi Ann (Klusman) MADISON Kristi Ann (Klusman) Acker, age 60, of Madison, passed away after a long illness on Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital. She was born on Feb. 4, 1948, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Harold and Agnes Klusman. Kristi graduated from the Wisconsin School for the Deaf. She married Anthony H. Acker Jr. on Jan. 31, 1970, in Milwaukee. Kristi was a homemaker and prior to that she worked at EZ Paints in Milwaukee. She is survived by her husband, Tony; daughter, AmyRose Acker; grandchildren, Anthony and Avery; a sister, Sandra (Alan) Terski of Greenfield; brothers, Harold and Charles Klusman, both of Milwaukee; and aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and many friends. Kristi was preceded in death by her parents; and a nephew, Kevin Terski. Kristi was very active with The Big Fish Contest for the Deaf, Wisconsin Deaf Anglers, Madison Association of the Deaf and Womens Auxiliary, Greater Milwaukee Association of the Deaf and Womens Auxiliary, Southern Lakes Association of the Deaf, Wisconsin Association of the Deaf, and National Fraternal Socie ty of the Deaf. She was an avid crafter and collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia. A Memorial Mass will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at noon on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. The family is requesting no flowers please.
