Bothella Ruth Peterson (Gantzer)

Peterson, Bothella Ruth (nee Gantzer) MADISON Bothella Ruth Gantzer Peterson, age 91, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2008, surrounded by the love of her family. Bothella was born in Chicago, Ill. on Aug. 19, 1917. Her most important task in life was her family. She was active in the First Lutheran Church in DeKalb, Ill. She lived the past eight years at Oakwood Retirement Village in Madison. Bothella is survived by three children, Phyllis (Jim) Kenseth, Roberta (Hans) Schneider and William Peterson; six grandchildren, Peter (Katie) Land, Michael (Leslie) Land, Tim Rader (fiancé, Susie Schrader), Jennifer (Irvin) Danley, Marc (Lori) Schneider and Mia (Larry) Stephenson; eight great-grandchildren, Jimmy and Jonathan Danley, Ben, Charlie and Jack Land, Ryan Land, Regan Schneider and Jones Stephenson; two step-grandaughters; two step great-grandchidlren; a son-in-law, Lee Rader and two brothers, John (Juanita) Gantzer and Charles Gantzer, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip E. Peterson; her parents, Charles and Ruth Gantzer; and her daughter Dianne Rader. She touched our hearts and lives in extraordinary ways and will be missed by her family and friends. Private family services will be held. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Ewalt and the staff at Oakwood Village for their exceptional and dedicated care. Thank you, Mother, for showing us the joy and meaning of life. You have given us many beautiful memories, many wonderful laughs.
