Smith, Kenneth "Raymond" Sr. MADISON- Kenneth "Raymond" Smith Sr., age 56, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, in Arizona. He was born on April 2, 1952, in Jackson, Miss., the son of Verdis Smith and Loleda Walker. Raymond distributed newspapers around Dane County for many years. He is survived by his wife, Rosie; eight children, Charlene (Al) Farrington of Madison, Kenneth (Dawn) Smith Jr. of Stevens Point, Frank (Michele) Reml of Arizona, Corey Smith of Madison, Tinesha Craig of Chicago, Christina (Andrew) Lang of Arizona, Amanda Smith of Chicago, Venessa Smith of Madison; nine grandchildren; sister, Margie (Jimmy) Pryor of Chicago; brother, Lawrence Smith of Chicago; mother, Loleda Jones of Chicago; and further by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Verdis; and step-father, James Jones. Funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008. A burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. I won't forget the time we went on the rocks . there was a bee in car and raymond rosie and jimmie my husband got of the car and left me locked in the car they were laughing and i was yelling for them to unlock the door and let me out it was not funny to me at the time i was in the car but it was to them you will be missed margie

To my loving brother Raymond . one of the happiest times that we spent together was on the way home from the beach ,you were drunk and crashed up every car on the block. love you your little bro lawrence.
