Walker, Willie G. Sr. MADISON Willie G. Walker Sr., age 86, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 6, 2008. He was born on March 3, 1922, in Hickman, Ky. Willie served as a gunner in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enjoyed fishing, blues music, working on cars, building shelves, and gambling, especially poker and throwing dice. Willie also enjoyed boxing, wrestling and spending time with his family. He is survived by five sons, Chuck Bryant, Willie (Jackie) Walker Jr., Rueben (Shirley) Walker, Ephrom Walker and Johnny (Aurelia) Walker; daughter, Elnora (Michael) York; sister, Helen McKinley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Orabell Walker; and son, Mike Bryant. Funeral services will be held at Walker, Willie G. Sr. MADISON Willie G. Sherman Ave., Madison, on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gerry Kuhnke presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
