NAGLE ELIZABETH CRAIG ELIZABETH CRAIG NAGLE of Madison died on 18 December 2008 at Sebring Assisted Care Residence in Madison. Born Elizabeth Knox Craig on July 5, 1929 in Austin, Texas, she lived her entire childhood in Lubbock, Texas, where she graduated from high school, and later from Texas Tech with a degree in home economics. She was the daughter of the late Dr William M Craig and Elizabeth Cox Craig. Her father for many years was a professor of chemistry at Texas Tech. She taught home economics in high school for several years in Texas and New Mexico, and in 1953 married Frederick W Nagle, then an Air Force officer. She lived in various parts of the country in connection with her husbands employment, settling in Madison in 1977. Favorite activities included the PEO Sisterhood, and activities of the Parkwood Hills Garden Club. She is survived by her husband, and three children; Berenice (James) Saxon of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania; Craig Nagle of Laurel, Maryland; and Anne (Mark) McIntosh, of Barrington Hills, Illinois, by six grandchildren, and by her brother, William M (Joanne) Craig, of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Funeral arrangements will be private, but a memorial service is planned for a later date at First United Methodist Church when family and friends can gather. The family acknowledges the support of many friends, and of the staff at Sebring Assisted Care. Tokens of remembrance can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
