Mary E. Pischke

PISCHKE, MARY E. New Berlin, WI Mary E. Pischke, age 79, died Fri. Feb. 27, 2009 after a long illness at LindenGrove Skilled Nursing Facility, New Berlin. She was born August 7, 1929 in Green Bay to Norbert and Elsie Mae (Franc) Pischke. She was an English teacher at Luxemburg, Merrill, and West Allis Central High Schools for many years. Following retirement, she was a volunteer at the West Allis Memorial Hospital where she was chairperson for their Merit Scholarship program. Survivors include her sister Ruth Smits, 10 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James, and her brother-in-law Robert Smits. Visitation will take place at Krause Funeral Home 12401 W. National Ave., New Berlin from 4-6 pm on Thurs. Mar. 5, 2009. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Johns Catholic Church 415 6th Ave. , Antigo at 9:30 am on Fri., Mar. 6, 2009. Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
