Wagner, Lillian (Lueck) STOUGHTON-Lillian (Lueck) Wagner, age 88, died on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Skaalen Home. She was born on June 29, 1920, in McFarland, to Hans and Anna (Williamson) Christensen. Lillian grew up in Madison, and graduated from Madison East High School in 1938. She attended the University of Wisconsin and also the Groves-Barnhart Business College. Lillian was employed as an administrative assistant at UW Residence Halls and in 1950, transferred to the UW Physical Plant, retiring, in 1981. She married Vernon Lueck on Nov. 20, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1966. Lillian married William A. Wagner on Nov. 7, 1970, at Lakeview Lutheran Church, where she was a member for many years. She was chairman of the Altar Committee and a member of Lydia Circle. After moving to Stoughton, they joined Christ Lutheran Church. Lillian is survived by two daughters, Rita (John) Walters of Stevens Point, and Loretta (Thad) Bartell of Chandler, Ariz.; grandchildren, Amy, Aaron, Jared, Elliott, Zachary and Daniel; a great-granddaughter, Madyson; a great-grandson, Wyatt; a brother, Norman Christensen of Madison; as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wagner; her parents; a brother, Oswald Christensen; and a sister, Lucille Hill. Funeral services will be held at SKAALEN HOME CHAPEL, 400 N. Morris St., Stoughton, at noon, on Monday, March 9, 2009, with the Rev. James Koza presiding. Visitation will be at Skaalen from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Skaalen Home Chapel or Skaalen Home Endowment Fund.
