Obituary

Morrison, Marilyn Rose (Fuchs) MADISON/CRIVITZ-Long time Madison resident, Marilyn Morrison passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2009, at NEWCare Convalescent Center in Crivitz. She was born on Jan. 30, 1933, to John and Gladys Fuchs. Marilyn graduated from LaCrosse Central High School before marrying John "Jack" Morrison and moving to Madison in 1952. Jack preceded her in death in 1979. In spite of some good offers, she didnt think she could recreate the magic she had with Jack and never remarried. Marilyn loved to read, do crosswords and play card games, but her favorite thing was time with friends and family, especially at her kitchen table. People dropped in any time, day or night, and no one bothered to knock at Marilyns. She is survived by her three sons, Dennis Morrison (Mary DeVries) and their three children, Tess, Lily and Quinn of Santa Cruz, Calif., Tom (Linda) Morrison of Little Suamico and their children, Amanda (Jeremy) Buehl and Cassandra of Madison, and Andy (Suzie) Morrison and their children, Jenna and Jake of Woodinville, Wash.; sisters, Gloria Spears of Florida, and Sally Degenhardt of Iowa; and her itty, bitty aunt, Alpha Stone of LaCrosse, as well as other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at RHODES CHARAPATA FUNERAL HOME, 801 George St., Crivitz, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009, and also at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009. The family asks that any memorials be made directly to the local Alzheimers Association to assist them in their efforts. "A heart is not judged by how much it loves, but by how much it is loved by others." On that basis, she had the biggest heart ever, just as Eileen and Kathy, and many others too numerous to mention.
