Obituary
Schullo, Dr., Shauna J. (Thompson) Cross Plains-Dr. Shauna J. (Thompson) Schullo passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at home after an extended fight with cancer. Dr. Schullo was born on Nov. 4, 1965, to Wendell and Karen (Robinson) Thompson in Grand Junction, Co. She graduated from Grand Junction Central High School in 1984. After attending Mesa State College for 2 years she married her friend and love, Scott A. Schullo on May 14, 1988. They moved to Florida where Shauna attended the University of South Florida earning a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, and a Ph.D in Distance Education. She was employed at USF until she and Scott moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, where she worked for the Center For Distance Education at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. In Oct. 2007 they moved to Madison, Wis. where she was Program Director for Distance Education Professional Development for the University of Wisconsin. Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Scott A. Schullo, her parents Wendell and Karen Thompson; 2 brothers Thane Thompson of Colorado, Andrew Thompson of Oklahoma; grandmother Barbara Thompson of Colorado; 2 sisters-in-law Debora Villella of North Dakota, Joni Keene of Minnesota; a brother-in-law Chris Brunner of Minnesota; her mother-in-law Rita Pettee of Minnesota; and many other family members and friends. A celebration of Dr. Schullos life will be held at the GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 2421 Church Street, Cross Plains, at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 14, 2009. A visitation will be held from 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.

We will always be grateful to Shauna for helping Devlin through losing his hair during chemo. She was a strong, caring, and wonderful person. No one could ask for a better neighbor and friend. Love, Kim and Charlie.
