Obituary
Felland, Evelyn MADISON- Everyones sweetheart, Evelyn Felland, now breathes easily after a valiant struggle with pulmonary fibrosis. She passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at her home. Evelyn was the epitome of everything good, demonstrating her strong Christian faith in quiet humility that was an inspiration for all. She was known for her caring and concern that placed everyones needs above her own. Evelyn was born on March 17, 1918, in Juneau County, the daughter of Emil and Clara Olson. She graduated from Mauston High School. Evelyn married Melvin E. Felland at Plymouth Lutheran Church, Mauston, on Sept. 5, 1938. She was preceded in death by her loving husband in 1992. Evelyn was a member and was honored as a steward of Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. Living on in her shadow is her daughter, Karen Wenger of Madison; two sons, Roger (Patti) Felland of Rocklin, Calif., and Scott (Helen) Felland of Oconomowoc; six grandchildren, Todd (Julie), Shelly (David) and Michael Wenger, Christopher and Brian Felland and Tracy (Mike) Bittles; and many great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1904 Winnebago St., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2009, with the Reverend John Ruppenthal presiding. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit family on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HospiceCare, Inc. 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711, or Trinity Lutheran Church.
