Wilfrid J. 'Fritz' Trittin

Trittin, Wilfrid J. "Fritz" MADISON- Wilfrid J. "Fritz" Trittin, age 85, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2009. He was born on Nov. 7, 1923, in Woodland, the son of William and Emma (Damrow) Trittin. Fritz married Dorothy Behl, then later married Lucile Hilgendorf Gilding. He was a World War II Army veteran in the Philippines. Fritz was a life long member of the VFW Post No.1879 in Fort Atkinson. He lived in Colorado for 18 years and moved back a few years ago to be closer to family. Fritz is survived by his wife, Lucile; four daughters, Toni (David) Prisk, Peg (Roger) Walls, Debra Trittin, and Michelle Trittin; four step-children, Ardyth (Alf) Wyller, James (Eileen) Gilding, Thomas (Mary) Gilding, and Nadine (Jay) Teisberg; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marion (Ron) Ostrander. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Terry; nephew, Randolph Miller; and his first wife, Dorothy. A private family gathering will be held.
