Knutsen, Ruby Lou (Gleasner)
SUN PRAIRIE/DOOR COUNTY-Ruby Lou (Gleasner) Knutsen died from pulmonary fibrosis and an embolism, at 12:40 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2009, after a more than three year illness, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg. She was born in Door County, the daughter of Matthew and Jordis Gleasner. On June 16,1951,Ruby married Ivan A. Knutsenof Clay Banks and they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary six days prior to her death. Ruby is survived by her husband, Ivan A. Knutsen of Sun Prairie;daughters, Shelby Jean Knutsen of Madison, Karla Joyce (Ronald) Kading of Madison, Leslie Marie (Michael) Campbell of Sun Prairie, Kaia Lynn (Gerald) Kalscheuer of Sun Prairie, and Edel Aleen (Timothy) Philippi of New Braunfels, Texas; and numerous friends.She is also survived by her sister, Ethel Brey; brothers, Emmett Gleasner, and Brent Braun, all of Sturgeon Bay; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Interment will be at Clay Banks Cemetery, in a private celebration of her life. She will be sorely missed by family and all who knew her. Vaya Con Dios and Auf Wiedersehen, Ruby.

To Dad, Shelby, Karla, Ron, Leslie, Michael, Kaia, Gerry, Edel, Tim and the host of grand children, great grandchildren and more that i've left out but are totally included. I just wat to share my love and symphathy for the loss of Ruby. She included me in the family many decades ago and i've always appreceiated being treated as one of the girls. I told Mom Sunday night as I said good bye that i wanted her to know how much i appreciated being one of her girls and the knutsen's including me in the family to Door County. It wan a highlight of my life. I will miss her, pray for her and continue the love she has for the family. I'm sure Matt told her to come home with him and that she had suffered enough and now was time to relax after having Karla, Edel and Dad say their last good byes.

We are so sorry to hear of Ruby's passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. Ruby was a very special person and I am glad that I got to know her thru Shelby. She will be thought of often.
