Verle was one of the most kindest, sweetest, and caring ladies I have ever known.
I fondly remember the years of visiting her when I was a kid. She was more than a "mom" to my best friend, Joyce. I thought she was the greatest and she was gracious right up to these last years of her life. Her smile was contagious. Her concern never ended, always wanting to know how I was and truly meaning the question. She listened deeply and I learned alot from her, too. I am blessed to have known her all these years and I will never forget her.
Joyce, your love for her and the caregiving you gave to her for so many years whether it was in your home or just always being there for her when she needed you, was heartwarming and totally amazing. You couldn't have loved her more and it was obvious that she felt the same way about you. The mutual admiration and respect for each other was something many could learn from.
To Joyce, who was her best friend (and Verle told me that often); to the her extended Spilde family; and to Verle's family, whom I've never met; I send to you my deepest and heartfelt sympathy. I will never forget Verle. She was one awesome lady. In a few words, "she was one class act" and I know she will be missed by many.
"Her weary hours and days of pain, her troubled nights are passed. In our aching hearts we know she has found sweet rest at last."
Rest in peace, Verle.
