Nisha, Kiran, and Family.. We were Deep's neighbors until last year, across the street in Verona. He was a fantastic father, who cared deeply and more than anything for his son, and we enjoyed a lot of Red Sox and football banter over the years. Deep was a good man, great father, who made us laugh a lot -- especially when we dug him out of the snow in his driveway - and helped him with his adventures in landscaping. May you have comfort in this time of sorrow, remembering the good times he brought to your lives. Eric & Kim Franke Madison

My sympathy to the whole family of Dr. Varma. He was a wonderful man, greatly admired by our staff as well as his patients and their families. My husband and I have a little piece of him as we "inherited" Cocoa, his chocolate lab, a year and a half ago after deciding that a lab does not make a good apartment dweller and would probably be happier running on an 80 acre farm. Cocoa has Dixie (another chocolate lab) to play with and roam every day and is thoroughly enjoying her new life and freedom! Deep will be greatly missed---it was a pleasure to have him in our lives if even for a very short while!

Our deepest sympathy to Dr. Varmas family. My 12 year old son has been a patient of his for a little over 4 years. My son is very sad and will miss him deeply. We will not find another doctor that is as open and caring as Dr. Varma. He really cared and it showed at every visit or even if I had to call with an issue. He was a very compassionate doctor who took my son (along with other children) into his heart. My heart goes out to his son. At each visit we would see his picture on doctors computer screen and I always thought to myself how wonderfully lucky he was to have such a great dad who had such a giant heart. He was a part of our family in a sense and he will be greatly missed by all of us.

I met Deep when he signed up for his first Scuba diving class in 2005 and stayed in contact since then. We connected right away, in part because our sons are the same age. He talked of his dear son Kiran often. He was a warm, friendly man with a huge heart. My prayers and condolences go to all of Deep's family and friends.
