Obituary
DEERFIELD-Roger O. Buckley, age 67, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at home, surrounded by his family, following a long battle with cancer. He was born on Nov. 6, 1941, in Madison, the oldest of four children of Oliver and Mary (Stallman) Buckley. Roger graduated from DeForest High School in 1960. He worked for Pepsi, Schoepps, Hammersley Construction, and retired in 2004 after 20 years, from the City of Madison as a Madison Metro Bus driver. Roger was a hobby farmer and was a proud owner and lover of John Deere tractors. He enjoyed being outdoors and would help anyone in need. Roger enjoyed following the Packers and NASCAR. He loved his family and often showed his love in special ways. Roger is survived by his wife, Pat Aeschlimann of Deerfield; children, Debbie (Scott) Will of Deerfield, Kim (Doug Busse) Buckley of Stoughton, and Bryan (Jill) Buckley of McFarland;step children, Scott Listol of Tennessee, Sue (Tim) Crye of Oregon, and Sandy (Scott) Feuling of Oregon; 13 grandchildren, Tabitha, Tanya, Isaiah, Uriah, Casey, Adam, Derrick, Riley, Mitchell, Trevor, Brianna, Melissa and Bo; siblings, DeWayne (Kathy) Buckley, Merlin Buckley (fiancee, Penny), and Janet (Tom) Williamson; sisters-in-law, Dawn Clements, and Sharon Zintz; and brother-in-law, Roy Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Dean Zintz; and sister-in-law, Janet Carter. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, with the Rev. Russ Leeper presiding. Burial will be at Avoca Cemetery, at 1 p.m. on Monday. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 p.m until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009. Cemetery:
Burial will be at Avoca Cemetery, at 1 p.m. on Monday.
