Virginia T. 'Ginnie' Pollock

Pollock, Virginia T. "Ginnie" MONONA-Virginia T. "Ginnie" Pollock, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009. She was born on Feb. 12, 1926, in Madison, the daughter of John and Anna (Maier) Dolfen. Ginnie graduated from Edgewood High School in 1946. She married Norvan Pollock on Sept. 26, 1953, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Madison. Ginnie worked at the candy counter at Kresge's Dime Store and alongside her husband at Accurate Bookkeeping Service for 48 years. She was an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Ginnie loved garage sales, craft fairs, and enjoyed playing bingo. She is survived by her husband, Norvan Pollock; brother, Albert Dolfen; sister, Esther (John) Debs; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenneth (Judy) Pollock, Roland (Judy) Pollock, Floyd (JoAnn) Pollock, Evelyn Heckelsmiller, Lois (Gordon) Krueger, Charlotte (Dennis) Hron, and Cheryl (Jim) Starker; and many nieces and nephews, who loved her very much. Ginnie was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Goodno and her husband, Floyd Goodno. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
