Obituary
MIDDLETON- Eunice J. Aye ("Euni"), age 77, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at her home with the loving care of her family and HospiceCare by her side. She was born on March 26, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Arnold and Madeline (Nassimbene) Miller. Eunice was the beloved wife of Bill Aye for 54 years. After both graduating from Kansas State University, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, they raised their family together in Manhattan and Topeka, KS before moving to Longmeadow, MA. Later they lived in Grand Rapids, MI before settling in Middleton. Eunice volunteered her time with her children's activities and then worked at the Longmeadow Center School Library and for many years as Placement Director at Madison Business College until her retirement. Eunice enjoyed jigsaw, crossword puzzles, and being surrounded by family and friends. She loved being one of four sisters with whom she remained close all of her life. She is survived by her husband Bill of Middleton; daughter Karen (Joe) Nartowicz of McFarland; her son Scott (Diane) Aye of Longmeadow, MA; five grandchildren, Maggie Nartowicz, Joe Nartowicz, Katherine Aye, Christine Aye, and Billy Aye; two sisters, Dorothy Bennett and Gladys (Norman) Smith; and many nieces and nephews. Her parents, and a sister, Evelyn Cooke, predeceased her. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the FIRESIDE ROOM OF MIDDLETON GLEN, 6720 Century Ave., Middleton from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2009. The family would like to express a special thank you to HospiceCare, Inc. for all their compassion and care and also thank Dr. Barbara Stowe-Carpenter and her wonderful staff at the UW West Internal Medicine Clinic.
