Esther I. (Krahn) Nelson

Nelson, Esther I. (Krahn) MADISON-Esther I. (Krahn) Nelson, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at Oak Park Place. She was born in Hustisford, the daughter of Robert and Alma (Stark) Krahn. Esther retired from Madison Kipp Corporation after 33 years. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and was an avid golfer. Esther is survived by a stepson, James Nelson; sister-in-law, Gladys Krahn; nephew, Ronald (Sharon) Krahn; great-nephews, Kevin (Michelle) Krahn, Robert Krahn, and Chris (Cathy) Maki; great-niece, Kim (Tim) Berger; and step-grandchildren, Alisha, Andrea and Ashley Nelson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, C. M. Langer; second husband, Warner "Bud" Nelson; her parents; a brother, Edwin; niece, Karen Maki; and great-nephew, Scott Krahn. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, 2009. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church.
