Crotty, Douglas Edward (Wopat)OREGON- Douglas Edward (Wopat) Crotty, age 65, of Oregon, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2009, at his home. He was born on February 15, 1944, in Richland County, the son of Leslie Wopat, Edward and Frances (Withrow) Crotty. Douglas married Carol Hellenbrand on June 24, 1978, in Belleville. He is survived by his wife, Carol; two sons, Michael and Chad; two daughters, Dana (Thor) and Brenda (Jade); his mother Frances; sister, Karen (Ray); nieces and nephews; five grandchildren; and other relatives. To the family and friends of Doug. You have our deepest sympathy. I (Ron) have many fond memories of Doug as we were growing up. He was like a brother, especially when I (Ron) lived most the time at the Crotty's, during high school. Doug has suffered for many years and put up with more than any of us hopefully will ever have to. It always seems the same after a loved one leaves us, we wish that we had kept in closer contact. Doug will be missed and in our prayers.
