Obituary

Schuetz, Beverly J. (Wipperfurth)\r\n STOUGHTON-Beverly J. (Wipperfurth) Schuetz, age 78, passed away on Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on Nov. 19, 1931, the daughter of C. Gordon and Thelma Baltzer. Beverly graduated from Madison East High School in 1950. She married James Wipperfurth and together they had six children before Jim\'s death in 1966. Beverly was employed at Madison Area Technical College for 26 years and thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She also served on the MATC Credit Union Board of Directors. Beverly married Karl Schuetz in December 1971. She enjoyed all her children, grandchildren, bowling, gardening, knitting, reading, and traveling with Karl. She was a member of Edwards-Foye American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 534 of McFarland and AMVETS Post No. 1 of St. Petersburg, Fla. Beverly and Karl enjoyed being snow birds in St. Petersburg. Beverly is survived by her husband, Karl; sons, Gary of McFarland, James of Monona, and John Wipperfurth of Mount Horeb; daughters, Vicky Petry of McFarland, and Jean (Jim) Torgerson of McFarland; step-daughter, Barbara Sanders of Almond; step-son, Michael (Debra) Schuetz of Brooklyn;14 grandchildren/step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Alma Baltzer; son, Jeffrey Wipperfurth; granddaughter, Rebecca Petry; and brothers, Richard and Earl Baltzer. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, with the Rev. Jerry Pribbenow presiding.
