Aiken, Alexander J. "Alex"
EDGERTON - Alexander J. "Alex" Aiken, age 13, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at home. He was born on Dec. 17, 1996, in Madison, the son of James Aiken and Jennifer Bethel. Alex was currently in the seventh grade at Edgerton Middle School. He loved Honda Racing, Fox Racing, fishing, playing video games and swimming. Alex was all about family. He was an awesome big brother and enjoyed his time spent dirt-biking and four-wheeling at his dad's house. Alex was loved by everybody and touched the lives of all those he came in contact with. Alex is survived by his mother, Jennifer (Preston) Bethel of Edgerton;father, James Aiken of Spring Green;brother, Michael Bethel; sister, Katie Lee Aiken;brother, Isaac Bethel;maternal grandparents, Michael Holton, Lynda (Bob) Triggs-Jacobson, Dennis (Susan) Bethel and Pam (Jerry) Corfman; paternal grandfather, Loren Aiken; great-grandparents, Lee(Cecilia) Bethel, Annelle Triggs and Raymond Hatcher;aunts and uncles, Angey "Sissy" (Mark) Engbring, Joe and Mike (Nancy) Klinkner, Mindy (Shane) Foster, Kimberly (Eric) Holton-Simpson, Samantha Holton, Michelle Jacobson, Christopher (Jessica) Bethel, Sherry (Craig) Hayes, Linda (Stan) Phelps, and John and Patti Lemon;and cousins, Nathen Engbring, Alyssa Aiken, Trina, Joey, Phillip and April Klinkner, Tyler, Nate and Ashley Foster, Jonathan Tobias, Dani Lee, Dustin and Sierrah Jolliffe, Brandon Vogt and Angelica Bethel. Alex is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including close friends, the "Denruiter Crew". He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Joan (Edward) Holton, Robert Triggs and Penny Lemon;and great-grandmother, Marcella Hatcher. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, with the Rev. Jerry Amstutz presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., and on Monday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Alex's name at the Summit Credit Union, 307 E. Wilson St., Madison, WI 53703.
