Lori worked at the University of Wisconsin Foundation for over twenty years and was especially proud of her work in the building campaign for the construction of the new Pharmacy building which opened in September of 2001, her work in women's philanthropy and her work on behalf of the Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. She was a volunteer and board member of many nonprofit organizations, especially organizations related to animals. She is survived by her husband, Steven Brezinski of Monona, her mother Mildred Rapp of Warrenton, Illinois, three brothers, Rick Rapp (Gail) of Hudson, Wisconsin, David Rapp (Marie) of Hartford, Wisconsin, and Tim Rapp (Andrea) of Warrenton, Illinois, eight nieces and nephews, many friends and her pets including her loyal Potcake Sassie. Lori was a great colleague, from the time I met her during my job interview through my tenure at the UW Foundation. Her musical abilities definitely served to enhanced the sense of community at the Foundation at Christmastime. Her commitment to the environment and to animal welfare also stand out for me. She will be missed by a great many.

I took care of Lori for such a short time, but in that time I saw how strong and smart Lori was. I enjoyed each day I spent with her. We laughed, we cried but I always knew she appreciated everything I did. I am glad she is at peace now. I will never forget her smile and her wit! May God bless Steve and her family.
