Obituary
MADISON- Edward H. Steady Eddy Teela has cooked his last wok of chili. He passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010. Eddy was born on Dec. 22, 1941, in Madison, the son of Harris and Helen (Smith) Teela. He married Dyanne Wedlake on July 10, 1965, in Madison. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper in the 101st and 82nd Airborne alongside his brother, Earl. Eddy owned and operated Blair St. Bait & Tackle from the 70\'s until the early 80\'s. Eddy and Dy owned Atlantic Seafood Market on East Washington Ave. For many years he was also a vender of Cajun Shrimp. Eddy enjoyed participating in chili cook-offs in Monona over the years. He was an avid bowler, hunter and fisherman. Eddy is survived by his wife, Dyanne; children, Cathi (Jeff) Wallace and Cris Welk; grandchildren, Robert (Brandi) Munz, Kelli Wallace, Jared Wallace, Ben Welk, and Sara Welk; two great grandchildren, Jesse and Alena Welk; four brothers, Earl (RaNae) Teela, Donnie (Kathy) Teela, Jim Teela, and David Peterson; sisters, Patty (Rich) Ferguson and Kay (Denny) Daggett; stepfather, Pete Peterson; and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harris Teela and Helen Peterson; brother, Billy Peterson; and stepmother, Joan Teela. A celebration of Eddys life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Eddys name to your local veterans organization. Eddy always said, I know a lot about nothing and something about everything.

I will never forget all the trips on your back down to the candy store, all the fishin trips, huntin trips, Baraboo chilli cook-offs, jambalaya, cajun shrimp, and the best damn bloody mary's in Wisconsin!! You will be missed by all!! Love ya man!!
