Elizabeth L. 'Liz' Oren

Oren, Elizabeth L. "Liz" MADISON-Elizabeth L. "Liz" Oren, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Karmenta Center. She was born on May 26,1916, in Lawrenceville, Pa., the daughter of Edward and Edna (Fuller) Weaver. Liz married Harold Oren in 1935. She worked at Borman's. Liz was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for many years, a member of Monona United Methodist Church and Blooming Belle's. She enjoyed taking road trips up north. Liz is survived by her children, Phillip (Karen) Oren of McFarland, Linda Jenkins of Monona and Peter (Terri) Oren of Madison; five grandchildren, Kristi Everson, Susan (Rick) Selvey, Scott (Rhonda) Jenkins, Shawn Oren and Mindy Oren; great-grandchildren, Kelsie and Lynne Everson, Connor and Wade Selvey, Abbigail, Rachel and Cal Jenkins, Alecia and Shawn Oren, Elizabeth Neustadter and Peter Cleeland; and sister-in-law, Maureen Weaver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1983; two brothers, Harlan and William Weaver; and son-in-law, Kenneth "Whitey" Jenkins. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2010. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service. Inurnment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Olbrich Botanical Gardens. Thank you to the staff at Karmenta Center for the care they gave Liz. Cemetery: Inurnment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation: Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service.
