Marcella F. 'Sally' Koch

Koch, Marcella F. "Sally" MADISON/OKEE -Marcella F. "Sally" Koch, age 85, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Harmony Assisted Living. She was born on June 2, 1924, in Sun Prairie, the daughter of Frank and Marion Luella Suchomel. She married Donald Koch on Oct. 11, 1944, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cottage Grove. Sally was a graduate of Sun Prairie High School class of 1942 and also Madison Business College. She worked as a bookkeeper in her home doing bookkeeping for many area businesses including Wisconsin Cleaners Service, which she owned with her husband, Donald. She was an avid quilter, knitter and gardener. Sally enjoyed polka music and dancing. She is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Duane (Janet) Koch, Connie (Greg) Wagner, Robert (Anna) Koch, and Daniel (Wendy) Koch; grandchildren, Marsha (Jakob) Klopfer, Debra (James) Knox, Stuart (Kristin) Koch, Stephanie (William) Wilson, Caroline (Andrew) Schneider, Jeffrey (Toni) Koch, Jennifer (Michael) McQueeney, Kristin (Joshua) Warner, Nicholas (Lisa) Koch, Michael Koch and Brent Koch; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, James (Lynette) Schluter. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Archie Schluter; brothers, Bert and Matt Suchomel, Roger Schluter; sisters, Margaret Scheuerell and Mary Ann Arndt; and grandson, Tyler Koch. Funeral services will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 9, 2010, with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or to HospiceCare. A special thank you to the staff at Harmony Senior Living on Ziegler Road for the exceptional personal care they gave Sally.
