Obituary
COTTAGE GROVE/ MONONA- Kathy (Grunewald) Fay, age 43, celebrated life to the fullest just about everyday until Saturday, May 8, 2010. She partied and enjoyed great times with some of the best, those being her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and love of her life, Pete. He made her laugh everyday and was her calm in every storm. She also liked gardening, canning and freezing like her mom and dad taught her. She loved cooking for anybody as long as they were hungry and sometimes they had to be told they were, golfing and enjoying downtime at Janeo and Daveos pool. She enjoyed going to most all the sporting events to watch her stepson, Cole. And we cant forget Moo Moo, our sweet and lovable dog, Maggie. She is survived by her one-of-a-kind husband, Pete; her stepson, Cole; her brothers and sister, Rick (Diane) Lemke of Montello, Jane (Dave) Ring of Cottage Grove, Jim (Laurie) Lemke of Marshall, Kevin (Ann) Lemke of Cottage Grove, and Eugene (Doreen) Grunewald of Madison; her dad and step mom, Gene (Wilma) Grunewald of Madison; her step sisters, Terri (Dave) Seawell of Minn. and Bonnie Rude of Sun Prairie; her mother and father-in-law, Marie and John Fay of Cottage Grove; her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Stephan (Wendy) Fay of FL, Paul Fay of DeForest, Stephanie (Jack) Hanlin of MO, and Kathy Sanders of Stoughton; and many aunts uncles, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Grunewald; her sister-in-law, Heidi Lemke; her uncle, Edward Grunewald; her nephews, Jeremy Grunewald and Nate Lemke and her paternal and maternal grandparents.There will be a private service for family only. A celebration of her life will be held at the VFW POST #7591, 301 Cottage Grove Rd., Madison on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.Kathy would like to thank Pete for always putting a smile on my face, putting up with everything- even when I wasnt sick, being the best man, friend and father anyone could ever ask for; to my sister and dad for ALWAYS being there; my best friends the Thomsens and Hugheys- we could have never gotten through this without them; all my friends and family that were there for me when this crap hit the fan; everyone at RB Publishing for their support and friendship. In addition, my thanks to Dr. Anne Traynor at the Carbone Cancer Center at the UW Hospital for helping me be strong and the care you gave at each appointment. Love you all and just remember to have a Capt. My dear friend Kathy I remember fun we had growing up in the in the apartments in between the bowling alley & Anthony Place in Monona. Riding the clown/spinner ride at the carnival. One day our paths will connect again. xo CARMEN
