Chris R. Borland

Normal 0 Christopher Robert Borland, age 28, of Madison, WI died on Sunday May 9, 2010, at UW Hospital, after a courageous battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Chris was born in Hopewell, VA on April 4, 1982, the son of Robert (Randy) Borland and Connie (Devermann) Hipp and step-father James (Hank) Hipp all of Nashville, TN. He married Karen Resch on March 21, 2009 in Madison, WI. Chris graduated from McGavock High School in Nashville, TN and graduated from Iowa State University in 2005. He worked for Epic Systems in Verona, WI as a software developer. He is survived by his wife Karen, parents and sister Melissa and loving in-laws Raymond and Jo Ann Resch. Also grandparents LaRae Borland of Independence, Iowa and Ellen Devermann of Davenport, Iowa as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Burdette (Bob) Borland and Delbert Devermann and aunt Elizabeth Jones. A memorial service will be held at Door Creek Church 6602 Dominion Drive Madison, WI at 11 am on Saturday May 15, 2010 with Pastor Wayne Rockwell presiding. A visitation will precede the memorial service at 9 am. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Campus Crusade for Christ, UW Carbone Cancer Center or Gideons International.
