Ann M. Binsfeld

MADISON-Ann M. Binsfeld, age 69, of Madison, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2010, at St. Mary's Care Center. She was born on Nov. 1, 1940, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Randy and Maude (Joyce) Binsfeld. Annie went to St. Augustine's grade school, Chilton High School and her Chilton connections remained strong. She graduated from UW-LaCrosse, taught physical education at Chilton High School, and English at Stockbridge High School. Annie also worked at Smokey's Club for a number of years where she made life-long friends. She was a terrific cook, loved parties and spending time with family. As someone who remained a kid at heart, Annie encouraged fun and was a joy to be around. She was truly unique, optimistic, and it was a privilege to know and love her. Annie is survived by her sister, Joyce (Jerry) Depies of Appleton; brother, Don (Mary) Binsfeld of Sun Prairie; sister, Katie (Michael) Scharf of McFarland; nieces and nephews, Barbara Rashke, John, Chuck, and Nate Depies, Judi Luciani, Jim and Dan Binsfeld, Emily and Clare Scharf; and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her great-niece, Anna. A celebration of Annie's life will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at St. Mary's Care Center for their love and kindness.
