Obituary
MADISON-Marie A. Hoffmann, age 96, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010, at Oakwood East. She was born on May 5, 1914, in Madison, the daughter of Frank and Josephine (Thierer) Washa. Marie married Leo Hoffmann on June 18, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1985. Marie worked at W. T. Rogers for several years. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, knitting, square dancing, camping and traveling. Marie is survived by her sons, Bob (Betty) Hoffmann, Norm (Helen) Hoffmann, and Dwayne (Judy) Hoffmann; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Velda and Darlene. Private services will be held. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. A special thank you to the staff at Oakwood East for the care they gave Marie.

I have fond memories of visiting Aunt Marie and Uncle Leo and my boy cousins those years mom and dad drove back to Wisconsin for summer vacations. I especially remember being at 1710 National Street during an electrical storm and your mom was so comforting to us during what we thought was the end of the world! She has wonderful sons and daughters-in-law and I'm sure she knew how much she was loved. Youare in our thoughts and prayers.
