Jerome L. Heideman

WAUNAKEE-Jerome L. \"Joe\" Heidemann, age 82, of Waunakee, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at HospiceCare. He was born on Dec. 2, 1927, in Wausau, the son of Albert and Elsie (Krueger) Heidemann. After graduation from high school, Joe served in the U. S. Navy. He worked at Eastside Print Shop and at Madison Cutting Die, from which he retired at the age of 74. Joe was united in marriage to Carol Borth on April 27, 2002, at Abiding Shepherd Lutheran Church. He liked to dance, fix things and enjoyed music. Jerome is survived by his wife, Carol of Waunakee; son, Alfred (Lois) Heidemann of Lodi; stepchildren, Georgene (Daniel) Hughes, Jacqueline (Joel) Welke, Jane (Scott) Fritze, Kim (James) Lapp, and James (Emma) Borth, all of Watertown, Angela (Robert) Ruppel of Cumberland, and Jamie (Todd) Kilmartin of Reeceville; 27 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Judy (Bill) Danner and Arletta Wyro, both of Wausau. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Barbara; stepdaughter, Dawn Lincks; four sisters; and a brother. Funeral services will be held at ABIDING SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 406 W. Cottage Grove Road, Cottage Grove, at noon on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, with the Rev. Nathan Krause presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
