Kacy L. (Williams) Schmelzer

Schmelzer, Kacy L. (Williams) BROOKLYN/NORTH FREEDOM-Kacy L. (Williams) Schmelzer, age 58, of Portage, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010, in Stoughton. She was born on Oct. 12, 1951, in Stoughton, the daughter of Lynn and LaVonne (Neath) Williams. Kacy attended school in Brooklyn and Oregon, and graduated from Menasha. She married John Schmelzer on March 23, 1973, in her parents home in the town of Menasha. Kacy and John resided in Poynette, Freeport, Ill. and North Freedom. Most recently, she resided at Divine Savior Nursing Home in Portage for five years. Kacy is survived by her son, Josh Schmelzer of North Freedom; daughter, Melody Schmelzer of Ripon; her mother, LaVonne Williams; aunt, Louise Williams; uncle, Lowell "Casey" (Grace) Neath; and several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Lynn; and husband, John. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 431 Soden Drive, Oregon, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2010. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Cemetery: Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
