Obituary

STOUGHTON-William T. "Billy" Sorenson, age 42, of Stoughton, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at his home. He was born on July 21, 1968, in Madison, the son of William J. and Sharon (Trester) Sorenson. Billy married Kristi Hoveland on March 12, 2003, in Madison. He enjoyed working for the City of Madison Streets Department. Billy enjoyed woodworking and restoring his 66 Chevelle. Billy was a hard worker, fun loving person, and willing to do anything for a friend. He was a Packers fan and loved his two Great Danes, Lucy and Felix. Billy is survived by his wife, Kristi; stepson, Cody Rodell; stepdaughter, Taylor Drye; parents, William and Sharon Sorenson of Wautoma; sister, Tricia Sorenson (Jim Holland) of Stoughton; niece, Ashley Sorenson; grandmother, Gwen A. Sorenson of Madison; mother-in-law, Carol Hoveland; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William M. Sorenson; grandmother, Katherine Elsener; and father-in-law, Duane Hoveland. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Highway 51, Stoughton, at 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 2, 2010. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established at a later date, in Billys name. A special thanks to the City of Madison Streets Department for their care and compassion. "Billy, you will be in our hearts forever." Love, your family. I only knew you these short last 4 years or so, but you make quite an impression. Good man, good friend, good co worker. I will miss the "good morning frosty" as we walk into work. You won't be forgotten!

Sorenson Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Billy and I had lost touch since High School. Only bumping into each other a couple of times. But he was one of those people you could just start talking to like you had just seen each other the day before. I remember playing on the playground with him as a little kid. What has happened is very unfortunate. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Carl
