Along with being a long time member of the Lake Edge United Church of Christ in Madison, Mickey also performed secretarial work for the church for several years. She also worked at home for WPS. Mickey and family enjoyed many years of family travel and camping trips. She also was an avid scrabble player. Later in life, Mickey had the opportunity to travel with friends to many interesting places in the United States, including two cruises and a trip to Europe. To her sons' big surprise, Mickey developed an interest in watching the Packers, Badgers and professional golf during her later years.
