I know how much all of you will miss Bill. He is now at peace, and I hope that, in time, your memories of him will share in a measure of that peace. I am very grateful to have been his neighbor. Nancy Homes

I'm so sorry for your loss. I began working with Bill at Madison Area Technical College in 1969. At that time registration, accounts payable and the bookstore were all together in one area. I shared space with Bill and Nick Spyros. I am still working at Madison College and hoping to retire next year. I'm sure you will treasure your memories of Dad, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. Today I am saddened to learn of the passing of our last remaining Uncle and wish to pass on my sincere condolences to his children and grandchildren. Uncle Willard was a handsome man with distinguishing gray hair. (Gray when all of his brother’s hairs retained their natural color). I assumed the premature gray was caused by the horrors he had witnessed in Italy during the war. (The war, was something at least to my knowledge, that none of them every discussed). We owe Willard, John, Harold and all who served a great debt. They saved the world from tyranny and preserved liberty and freedom. Thank you Bill.
