Obituary
Hanke, Mary Kathleen "Kathy"RACINE/MADISON-Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Hanke, age 63, passed away on Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, as a result of an automobile accident. She was born on Sept. 20, 1946, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of John and Mary Kathleen ( McNamara) Titlbach. Kathy graduated from Prairie du Chien High School with the class of 1964. She was united in marriage to Steven Hanke on Oct. 5, 1968. They started their married life and raised their family in Racine. While in Racine, Kathy worked for the American Bank and then the Western Publishing Company, known for printing The Golden Books. Kathy and her family were very active members of St. Rita Catholic Church of Racine. Kathy and Steve then began a new adventure and finally relocated to Madison. They became members of St. Dennis Catholic Church and enjoyed all that Madison had to offer. Throughout Kathy's life, she enjoyed bowling, cross stitching and exercising. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Steven; son, Curtis (Ellen) Hanke of Madison; daughter, Stephanie (John) Edel of Franksville; grandson, Charlie Edel; four sisters, Julie (Joe) Breckler, Peggi (Roger) Loftus, Patti ( John) Johanningmeier and Teresa (Steve) Radlof; three brothers, Robert Titlbach (Andrea), Dennis (LeLani) Titlbach and Daniel (Maria) Titlbach; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be planned within the next few weeks. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure, P.O.
