Charles Elwin Humes

Hume, Charles ElwinSTOUGHTON - Charles Elwin Hume, age 78, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010. Charles was a master electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local No. 159. He grew up on a farm outside of Moundville. Charles then served during the Korean war as a submariner with the U.S. Navy. He went on to own a television business in the early 1960's and also owned a solar-based products company in the 1970's. Charles is survived by his sons, Daniel and David Hume; daughter, Debra McKane; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held in Arizona for the family and a tribute will be held in Stoughton at a time to be announced for local friends and acquaintances.
