MADISON, WI - Elaine Lillian Rose (Lambrecht) Rudie died Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in Madison, WI at Chamomile Assisted Living. She was 87.Elaine was born July 16, 1923 in Lena, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of William and Anna Marie (Nelson) Lambrecht. She married Lawrence G. (Buckie) Rudie on August 24, 1946 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Two Rivers, WI. after a long courtship extended by 4 years during which Buckie served in Europe for World War II. Patience was her virtue. Buckie and her boys were always the focus of her life. She was very active in the churches wherever the family lived, including Sheboygan, Madison and Manitowoc.Elaine graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers in 1940. She started working at Two Rivers City Hall through the Federal Depression era program for office positions. She also worked as a secretary at Eggers Plywood in Two Rivers, Delta Machine Tool in Milwaukee, WISC TV in Madison, and the Monona School District.Survivors include three sons and their families: Noel and Jane Rudie of Oskaloosa, IA, Laura (Elgin, IL) and Michael (Monona, WI); Alan and Cindy Rudie, Madison, WI, Ian (Atlanta, GA) and Gwen (Pasadena, CA); Glen and Laurie Rudie, Pleasant Springs, WI, Luke and Hans. She is also survived by a brother, Loren Lambrecht and two sisters, Darlene Lambrecht and Beverly Menges all of Two Rivers, WI.Preceding Elaine in death were her parents, husband Lawrence (December 2009), three brothers; Lyle, Lester and Lyndon and five sisters: Edith Larson, Evelyn Sorlie, Eleanora Boness, Effie Olsen and Eloise Boness.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 13, 2010 at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, WI with visitation at 10:00 am. A luncheon will follow the service and conclude with burial in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers, WI.Those wishing to express their sympathy with a donation may consider First Lutheran Church of Manitowoc or Woodland Dunes Nature Center, Inc., P.O.
