Janet K. (Albright) (Thrun) Johnson

MADISON - Janet K. (Albright) (Thrun) Johnson, age 67, a survivor of breast cancer, died on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, due to a heart attack. She was born on August, 10, 1943, the daughter of David and Letha (Roach) Albright. She graduated from Monona Grove High School, the class of 1961. Janet married Dennis Johnson on Dec. 29, 2007. She was previously married to James Thrun. They were blessed with two children, Deborah and David. Janet and James remained friends, along with James wife, Lavon, and enjoyed holidays and special family occasions together. She worked a variety of jobs, but she truly enjoyed working at Indianhead Truck Lines and most recently worked at Home Health United, where she made many wonderful friendships. Janet will be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, mother, mother-in-law, grandma, sister and aunt. She is survived by her husband, Dennis; a daughter, Deborah (Stephen) Green; a son, Dave Thrun; father, Dave Albright; step-daughter, Denise (Steven) Anderson; her grandchildren, to whom she will always be known as Nonee, Aaron (Barbara) Theis, Shawn (Sheila) Theis and Shane Thrun; a great-grandson, Zachary Theis; and a sister, Joyce (Charles) Goecks; her five nieces; and some very close friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Letha in 1983; aunt, Imogene Roach; and infant son, William Thomas Thrun. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her! Funeral services will be held at COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 5020 Maher Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, with the Rev. Bob Lawrence presiding. Visitation will be heldat GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010.
