Obituary
MADISON - Anna D. Busker, age 95, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011. She was born to Peter and Lila Dahdah in Springfield, Mass., on March 11, 1915. Madison has been her home since 1945. Family and home were most important to her and she was known by her family and friends as a great cook and baker. She will be remembered most for her delicious pies. Anna was an avid football fan of the Badgers, Green Bay Packers and her home team, the New England Patriots. She never missed a game on tv when her teams were playing, and her loyalties were divided when the Packers played the Patriots. Anna married Fred Manthe in August of 1945 and later married Karl Busker in July of 1965. She worked at the VA Hospital in the laundry department for many years. Anna will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Judy (Bob) Ford of Madison and Elaine (Ray) Utzig of Janesville; her grandchildren, Rob and Jamie Ford of Madison and Ron (Amy) Utzig and Jennifer (Charles) Coulter all of Janesville; her great-grandchildren, Keaton and Payton Coulter; and her two brothers, Joe and Ralph Dahdah of Springfield, Mass. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Karl Busker; two sisters, Mary Darnell and Rose Dahdah; and two brothers, Nelson and Henry Dahdah. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 until the time of the service. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HospiceCare or St. Bernard Catholic Church. Special thanks to the staff at HospiceCare for their wonderful care of our mother for the past year, and the staff of Chamomile Assisted Living for their kindness and care while she resided there for the past five years.
