Obituary
MONONA-William J. "Bill" Krebsbach, age 81, of Monona passed away on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011. He was born in Fond du Lac, on May 28, 1929, the son of Orville and Ruth (Wolf) Krebsbach. He graduated from Waupun High School in 1947, and attended Lakeland College from 1947 until 1948, and was inducted into their football hall of fame. He joined the national guard in Waupun in 1946, and was active in the national guard for 17 years, and was a member of the Severson-Cairns American Legion Post 501. He moved to Madison in 1956, and has lived in Monona for over 50 years, and was a member of the Downtown Optimist Club that met at the Loraine Hotel and a member of the Monona Business Men's Association. He worked for Dean Milk and Rippin Good Cookies before starting a long career at Kayser Ford in Madison and Gene Olson Ford in Sauk City. He married Hazel Vincent on June 18, 1966. He was a top salesman several times and won many Top Hatter awards and trips during his car sales career. After retiring from selling and leasing corn furnaces and wood pellet stoves, he worked 17 years for Ag Source as a route driver picking up soil samples. He enjoyed this and looked forward to every spring and fall , and worked through the 2009 fall season with his illness. Bill enjoyed all sports, especially Badgers and Packers football. He and Hazel had season tickets for several years. He enjoyed snowmobiling and camping with family and friends, and traveling the country in his Winnebago RV. He and his family owned and operated a resort, Buckhorn Lodge, in Drummond for 26 years. He was a Nascar fan and an avid hunter. He enjoyed vacationing in Hilton Head Island and Aruba with his family and friends. Bill is survived by his wife, Hazel; and daughter, Cheryl (Douglas) Kruizenga. He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather, James Franklin. Funeral services will be held at LAKEVIEW MORAVIAN CHURCH, 3565 Tulane Avenue, Madison at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, with the Rev. Stacie Marrese-Wheeler presiding. Burial will be held at Mamre Moravian Cemetery in Milford Township. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Monona from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Marys Hospital and the staff at HospiceCare, Inc. Also a special thank you to Dr. Sorber from Dean West Clinic and caregiver, Neil.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E.
