John Ardon 'Russell' Hall

MADISON- John Ardon "Russell" Hall, age 58, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011. He was born on Jan. 3, 1953, in Madison, the son of Gary and Janet Hall. John graduated from LaFollette High School in 1971, where he excelled in baseball, football and basketball. He worked in printing for the State of Wisconsin and later for Cuna Mutual. John enjoyed sheeps head, golf, local chili cook-offs, and ice fishing. He is survived by his father, Gary; brother, Kelly Hall of Madison; two sisters, Teri (Jeff) Fine of Cottage Grove and their sons, Toby Adams and Dustin Fine, and Joni Gehrke of Wisconsin Dells and her daughters, Christina, Heather and Anna Gehrke; and many other wonderful family and friends. John was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Marie Hall on June 4, 2010; grandparents; and his buddies, Moose, Sean, Rudder and Chilli. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, with the Rev. Jeff Vanden Heuvel presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
