As a friend of Chris Burg's I met a lovely lady with an infectious smile, Pat. She was a joy to have known. In the short time we had as friends, Pat, Chris and myself went to Devil's Lake and Holy Hill and shared messages and photos on Skype. At her 51st Birthday Party I was again taken with the friendly greetings of her friends and family.
My heart-felt condolences goes out to everyones loss, including my own.

Pat has always been an inspiration to me, always joyful, optimistic even when the chips are down, never giving up. We shared a few visits at the UW while we were both in treatment, and always encouraged each other. And also remembering our 4H years together also. It is with deep sorrow to learn of her passing, yet I know she was tired. May her spirit remind us of how she lived her life. Her smile and lovely laugh will always be with me. Thinking of all of you with love and prayers, Judy (Stluka) Goiffon

Today it hit me that Pat won't physically be here. Her laughter was the light in a room. She never judged me or anyone. My sister Pat made me a more outgoing person over the years, I wanted to be like her! The last 8 1/2 years had so many ups and downs I know she wasn't always herself but she sure tried to stay up beat. She would talk to people everywhere she went and compliment people on something. The world needs more Pat Carroll Sopsicks!
Love you Pat and I really miss you!

I have so many memories with this wonderful woman I called my friend, my buddy, my confidant. Pat encouraged me to take chances and gave me the courage to follow my dreams. I so will miss our long talks about everything and nothing. The sparkle in her eyes was infectious and made you want to capture just a little of it for yourself. Pat will forever have a place in my heart and will missed by all who knew her. It is comforting to know she is at peace now.

Pat taught me so much. I will never forget her sense of humor, soft manner and unique attitude toward life. I was not able to attend her service, so those interested in sharing memories of Pat would be welcome to email me! Looking forward to hearing from you!
