Beverly Jean “Bev” Brown

MADISON- Beverly Jean "Bev" Brown, age 75, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011. She was born on Dec. 23, 1935 in Madison, the daughter of Evelyn Nelson and Donald Elliott. Bev was united in marriage to Edward L. Brown on Nov. 12, 1954, in Oregon. She worked at Grabers in Middleton for 23 years. In her early years, she loved to sing and dance, country of course, and going on trips. Bev also loved to go fishing. She kept busy with crafts and religiously on Fridays went to garage sales in her Maverick to buy any and everything, but she was a collector of many thousands of Santas which she joyfully displayed every Christmas. Bev is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edward; children, Russell (Sue) Brown, Robert (Sue) Brown and Kristine (Doug) Cupp; grandchildren, Christopher, Brad, Heather (Dylan), Travis, Amber, Shelby, Aimee and Alex; and great-grandson, Hunter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Evelyn; sister, Mary Ann (Heiman) Clawson; and son, Rodney. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kristin, Megan and all the staff from HospiceCare.
