Obituary

Hanson, Greg MADISON-Greg Hanson, age 52, of Madison passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 13, 2011, from complications of a previous stroke. He was born on July 12, 1958 in Madison, the son of Dean and Mary Ann (Parisi) Hanson and graduated from LaFollette High School in 1976. Greg was a wonderful father and brother whose passions included Wisconsin sports, hosting "InYourFaceRadio.net" programs and championing the Progressive Movement. He overcame incredible odds after his initial stroke and was able to live independently for the remainder of his life. Greg was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Patti Jo. Greg is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Hanson; three grandchildren, Kailey, Sean and Colin; three brothers, Darwin, Deano, and Bruce. Memorial services will be held at a later date. To all of Greg's family, This was really sad to see in the paper this morning. I remember him when he was just a kid on Maher Ave. And a darling, sweet kid at that! Greg and I played soccer together at La Follette in 1975. We also shared a love of hockey, I have passed that love on to my kids. Sorry for your loss. Jay
