Valmor B. 'Val' Tregloan

Tregloan, Valmor B. "Val" MONONA-Valmor Branch "Val" Tregloan, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at the Four Winds Manor, Verona. Val celebrated his 98th birthday with his family at the Manor. He was born on March 5, 1913, in Linden, the oldest son of Joseph and Frances (Trevalio) Tregloan. After graduation from Woodford High School, he drove daily to Monroe, graduating from Brown's Business School. Val was united in marriage to Margaret Nelda Marti on Feb. 3, 1931. They were best friends and life partners, married close to 67 years. Val and Margaret owned and operated the Royal Blue Store and Locker plant in Livingston for 25 years. After retiring from the grocery business they moved to Platteville where they renovated and operated the Town House Apartments for 34 years. For their retirement years, they chose to live in Monona. Val enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, golfing, movies, sporting events and a good garage sale. After Margaret\'s death, Val lived with his son Brad in Davenport, Iowa and later with his daughter, Beverly, in Davenport, Iowa. He has happily resided for the last 20 months at the Four Winds Manor in Verona. Val is survived by two daughters, Dolores (Francis) West of Oregon,Beverly La Lima of Davenport, Iowa; son, Bradley V. (Tanya) Tregloan of Morrison, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, Sandra (Dave) Wagner-Bennett, Lynn (John) Beckett, Pat (Rob) Maasch, Marcia (Robert) Hinds, Gary (Darcy) West, Mark Zanzinger, Kelly Morrisey-Noel, Wendy Zanzinger, Cheryl Luna, LeAnn Tregloan and Kimberly (Adam) Maring; 15 great-grandchildren, Justin (Nina) Beckett, Garrett Beckett, Sarah, Emily and Rebecca Maasch, Laura and Dana Wagner, Brandon Morrissey, Rudy Luna, Oliver Maring, Isaiah, McKala, Zaraya, Jaelon and Jennaka Tregloan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; parents, Frances and Joseph; brothers, Melroy and Luray Tregloan; special cousin, Ted Tregloan; and 6 year-old great-grandson, Michael Morrissey. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Robert Bennett presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and also from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Monday. Val's family would like to thank "all" the staff at Four Winds for the excellent care given to Dad.....Val would give Lewis a big thumbs up. Cemetery: Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
